Tinsley Community Allotment

Tinsley Community Allotment was designed and constructed in 2003 following consultation with the local community and with the support of the RSWT Seed fund and Objective 1. The allotment has a number of raised beds, a polytunnel, a pond and includes a forest garden.

Through the support of the Big Tree Plant Funding Scheme, an orchard of 16 fruit trees has also been planted on site.

The allotment is situated behind Tinsley One Stop Shop, 120-126 Bawtry Road and is currently open every Friday morning between 1.00 p.m. and 3.00 p.m. between March and October.

Our Community Allotment Workers, Jacqui Dace and Jess Banham work with local residents, schools and visitors to provide a relaxed space for growing, offering advice, chatting and sharing ideas.

Tools and personal protective equipment are provided and refreshments and toilet facilities are available in Tinsley One Stop Shop.

The allotment project currently benefits from the kind support of British Land PLC, joint owner of Meadowhall Centre and Tinsley Trust Fund.

If you are interested in volunteering, growing your own organic produce, or just coming along to relax and enjoy our outdoor space, please call in, e-mail or visit our social media sites.
